Terms of Use

The terms that govern this website and the nature of our services.

1. Acceptance

By using this website or engaging Northridge Capacity Assessment & Social Systems Navigation Services ("Northridge", "we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

2. Nature of our services

Northridge provides designated (statutory) capacity assessments under Alberta's Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship Act (AGTA) and non-regulated consultation and navigation support for navigating government systems and benefit applications.

We are not a law firm, medical clinic, counselling service, or immigration consultancy. We do not provide legal, medical, psychological, or immigration advice or representation, and we do not appear before tribunals.

No guarantees are made regarding the outcome of any application, assessment, or government decision. We do not determine eligibility for any program.

3. Your responsibilities

You remain the applicant for any benefit or program and are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. Our consultation and navigation support is client-led: we help you understand, prepare, and organize, but final decisions and submissions are yours.

4. No warranty; limitation of liability

The website and its content are provided "as is" for general information. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northridge is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Engagements for services are governed by the written agreement provided at the time of service.

5. Intellectual property

The content, design, and materials on this website are owned by Northridge and may not be copied or reused without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of freely provided guides.

6. Third-party links and tools

The site may link to third-party websites or use third-party tools (for example, online scheduling). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
